This summer I have continued to work towards working out in the pool four to five times a week. It has not all gone perfectly, but I am seeing progress in the right direction after the month I was forced to take off due to my feet.
I’ve tried working out in the morning. I’ve tried working out after work. I’ve considered trying to fit it into my lunch break, but I just don’t think I have the time. I like working out first thing in the morning the best, for a number of reasons. First, I enjoy my time while I’m there. Everything is still quiet and there aren’t many people. When the sun is out, the high windows let the morning sun shimmer on the water and throw the reflections up on the wall. It’s really beautiful. Second, it sets the tone for the rest of the day. When I do not work out, I am anxious. When I do, instead of anxiety I get ambition. After three days of being consistent, my overall fatigue declines.
Seriously, why would anyone not?
Because they stay up too late. That’s something I’m working on.
I’ll talk more about my progress in another post.
